Karla Najera, LCSW-C
Over the past several years, I have provided therapy in English and in Spanish to children, adolescents and adults in a number of settings (school, clinic, non profit agency and teletherapy).
Many of the clients I’ve seen have worked through trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss as well as adjusting to other life transitions.
My expertise incorporates evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, Play therapy and mindfulness techniques. I believe that each person requires a level of treatment that is tailored to his or her own experiences and learning style. This is why I strive to make each session client centered and always incorporate a strengths based approach.
I strive to create a therapeutic relationship in which you feel comfortable, heard and accepted. I truly believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of any successful therapeutic experience. I look forward to helping you discover the strength and potential you have inside of you!
In my free time I enjoy going to new restaurants, weight lifting, doing makeup and outdoor concerts.
Clinical degree: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).
Additional trainings- trauma informed care, TF-CBT, play therapy , Acceptance and commitment therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy , and reunification.
