Therapy is a personal journey within itself. I believe self-care and mental wellness is a rite of passage. As a former college professor and physical healthcare provider, I understand the importance of wholeness. I enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds including the underserved and marginalized population. I work with all groups including couples, individuals, children and teens. I also work with single moms, moms and dads of children with autism, PDD, sensory disorder and vision loss. Other areas of expertise extend to depression, anxiety, IPV, Career challenges/changes and self-esteem. I have extensive expertise in women services including Labor & Delivery and postpartum depression support.
My clinical knowledge and professional background have afforded me the opportunity to assist clients with the challenges they are facing. I utilize many different strategies to assist clients through their journey of healing. We all have a story and it is important to write and tell our story the way in which we see it and desire it to become. In the therapy room I take a Narrative and collaborative approach that affords clients to feel safe and supported.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, nature walks, traveling and music. I have four college age children that are finding their way through life.
