Gratitude
Posted: December 7, 2025
As we enter into the final month of 2025, I’d like to list out some of my personal appreciations. I often encourage my clients to search for goodness and to create a routine of reflecting on moments of positivity. Sharing appreciations and gratitude can help highlight our brain’s focus on experiences that allow us to be present and feel equanimity even when enduring challenges. Our brains are typically wired with a negativity bias so to help relearn and develop new patterns of thoughts, I thought I’d share with you all some of my reasons for being grateful.
- I am grateful that my life experiences have led me to becoming a therapist where I am able to sit with and guide so many beautiful people through their walks in life. I am truly humbled by the openness, trust, humor, and strength displayed in all of my clients and am grateful I get to witness and guide those who come into my office.
- I am grateful for soft smiles of strangers and hearing laughter
- I am grateful for change and the impermanence of life, allowing shifts to occur in me and around me
- I am grateful for all of those who love me and encourage me, giving me hope and allowing me to not feel alone in this challenging world
- I am grateful for all of my ancestors and the sacrifices they’ve made to create space for me to be given the opportunities I’ve been blessed with in my life
- I am grateful for you reading this, truly. Regardless if this is my first post you’ve ever read or if you check in and read my monthly posts, I am hopeful you learn something, or are able to feel seen throughout what I’ve shared. Thank you for showing up as you are.
