Sabrina Alimi
Hello, my name is Sabrina and I am Licensed clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. Taking the first step in starting your therapeutic journey is a powerful and courageous action, and I believe that all clients have the power to enact meaningful change in their lives. My role is as a soundboard that reflects my client’s experience and helps them identify the tools necessary for personal growth. Every person I work with has unique experiences and valid perspectives, therefore I truly see the value in becoming mindful of the multiple aspects influencing
a client’s life. It takes a lot of strength and dedication to be vulnerable and unpack your past, especially alongside another person. Therefore, I understand the importance of creating a safe and welcoming environment
for my clients that allows them to be themselves in the therapy space and, eventually, in their relationships outside of therapy. I welcome clients of different cultural backgrounds, and I appreciate and learn from the uniqueness of each and every one of them.
I believe that working with multiple members within the familial system offers great insights into therapeutic change. Working with members of the family allows me to integrate multiple perspectives into my practice while remaining client-centered; my work focuses on the relationships that tie people together. Meeting my clients where they are at, and acknowledging their unique individual experiences is a fundamental part of my approach. I work with a variety of clients ranging from children to teens, adult individuals, and couples. I have worked extensively with clients exploring identity development, managing anxiety, developing coping skills, and working on familial and romantic relationships. I can help you identify the tools you have within yourself to work through your presenting concerns. Together we could identify parts of your life that we can grow to accept, and the other parts that we can change, and thus develop tools to manage and deal with it more appropriately and healthily. I am sincerely looking forward to working with you throughout your therapeutic journey.
