Understanding Your Nervous System Through Movement
Reconnect with your body and your breathing. Find release where you carry tension/stress in your body. Discover new ways to feel grounded.
Have you ever noticed that stress can show up in your body before you even realize you're feeling overwhelmed?
Maybe your shoulders tense, your breathing becomes shallow, or your thoughts start racing.
Come explore the connection between your nervous system, stress, and the body with a BCS therapist/yoga instructor.
Through movement, breathing, and grounding practices, you'll discover simple tools to increase body awareness, support emotional regulation, and navigate everyday stress.
What to Expect
- Gentle yoga and movement to explore the connection between your body and emotions.
- Breathing practices to support calm and regulation.
- Grounding techniques to help you reconnect with the present moment.
- Practical tools you can incorporate into everyday life.
Unlike more traditional yoga class, our focus does not have to be on perfecting poses or getting a workout. It can be about slowing down, noticing what's happening in your body, and developing greater awareness of how you respond to stress.
No previous yoga experience is necessary. All movements will be adaptable to different abilities and comfort levels.
